Who Publishes ThenCatch

ThenCatch is built, funded, and maintained by 11Vertex, a product engineering studio founded in December 2024 by Kashyap Thakar. 11Vertex designs and ships custom software for startups and growing teams, with a focus on infrastructure, identity systems, and complex data pipelines.

ThenCatch exists because these are the tools we reach for during our own client work. When you spend your days debugging webhook payloads, decoding JWTs from a failing auth flow, or tracing a redirect chain that broke someone's SEO, you accumulate opinions about how those tools should behave. Most of the free options online are slow, buried under interstitial ads, or quietly upload your data to a server to do work a browser can do locally. We built the versions we wanted to use.

The site is written and maintained by Kashyap Thakar with the 11Vertex engineering team. Every tool and guide is authored in-house; we do not publish syndicated, sponsored, or guest content. Reach us at hello@kashyap.im or through the contact page.

How the Tools Work

29 of our 32 tools run entirely in your browser. When you paste a JWT into the decoder, format JSON, generate a hash, or convert a CSV file, the data never leaves your machine — there is no upload, no round trip, and nothing for us to log. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's network tab and watch it stay silent while you work.

Three tools physically cannot work this way, because they need to talk to a remote host that a browser is not allowed to reach directly:

• DNS & WHOIS Lookup queries public DNS resolvers and registry WHOIS servers.
• URL Redirect Checker follows a redirect chain server-side, because browsers hide intermediate hops from JavaScript.
• API Tester proxies requests so you can call endpoints that do not send CORS headers.

For those three, we forward the request, return the response, and keep no record of what you looked up. Our privacy policy spells out exactly what is and is not retained.

Editorial Standards

The guides on this site are written by working engineers and reviewed before publication. Where a topic is governed by a specification — percent-encoding by RFC 3986, JWTs by RFC 7519, UUID versions by RFC 9562 — we cite the spec and follow it rather than repeating folklore. Code samples are run before they are published.

When we get something wrong, we correct the article rather than quietly deleting it. If you spot an error, tell us and we will fix it.

How This Site Is Funded

ThenCatch is free and has no paid tier. Hosting and development are subsidised by 11Vertex, and the site carries advertising to offset infrastructure costs. Ads never gate a tool, never appear before you can use one, and are not placed on utility screens such as search or settings. No tool output, input, or clipboard content is ever shared with advertisers.
